Calgary, Alberta | Canada

Residing in Calgary, Canada, in just a short few years, Wes has become one of Western Canada’s brightest progressive djs. He’s played clubs and events big and small from Ibiza to Mexico to the Shambala, Burningman and Motion Notion festivals and has opened shows for the likes of Markus Schulz (Calgary’s favorite opener for Markus), Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff, Vibrasphere, Max Graham, Laidback Luke and Infected Mushroom, all the while continuing to hold down one of the most successful progressive residencies in Calgary: Pure.Prog at the Amsterdam Rhino, coming into its third year. Wes’ sets can be also be heard regularly online through his monthly 709Sessions radio show, which are broadcast on such stations as Digitally Imported, Dance Radio, Tribal Mixes (London) and Evolved.fm.
You can check out the rest of Wes’ Bio here.

Wow! I had a fantastic time! Thank you so much to Chris, Chris, Koji and Nate for providing great music and vibe to the entire night. Also much thanks to everyone that came with Koji and Nate for the awesome decorations and tapestries - everything looked spectacular.
And much love to Nick, who asked me to help him out on this, his first official event! =) I’d say it was a definite success!
Here are the pix from the party. Any help in naming people would be appreciated.

The last month or so, I have been talking with a friend (Nick) about helping him with the logistics of throwing his first club event. He’s also been talking with another mutual friend (Tom) as well. I told them both I was happy to help out as long as I’m just a knowledge base and not an investor =) They both agreed, so it looks like I will be coming out of event throwing retirement. again. LOL

OK. So now it’s version 3.5. Why, you may ask? Well, my old incarnations were always done regarding the events I was throwing - whether in a sports bar, restaurant, out in a field or in an actual night club. That all pretty much stopped in the middle of 2003. I’ve had a couple of hosting issues over the years… Most recent was Thanks to Danny of NCDNB, through his former company at SageIsland. I’m now in the process of moving over to GoDaddy.com and now that I’m back on a linux box I have my favorite Gallery application again =).
With the help of The WayBack Machine and Google caching, I’m recovering some of my old content. I’m putting it back up in the interests of posterity - and may update that stuff someday…. yeah, right.
My ultimate goal is (still) to put back up all of my old photos - which I should complete by the end of January 2007 sometime soon?
Thank You’s also to everyone who has supported me in over 9 years (off and on) of throwing and going to events. It’s cliche’, but what a long strange trip it has been…. Thank you to Carl, Eric M, Bobby, Tom, Charlie, Dan, Rob S, Bryan, Jare, Josh, Marshall, Melody, Michael, Ren, Gregg, Rob Rousseau, Seth, Eric B and Chris for being ‘my’ DJs and more importantly, my friends. Thank you to everyone who ever played a Lifted or Joekerland event, including the infamous outdoor events at Hundred Aker Wood and the lakehouse. Fun times definitely - but its finally time for me to move on. i think.
